World Pastry Championships

For those of us who can’t make it to view live and in person, this event can be viewed through twitter and Dessert Professional.

The Amoretti 2010 World Pastry Championship will be held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa, Phoenix, AZ – July 5-6.

Team Rosters can be found here – and include Denmark, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, and the US. You can click on any team for the leaders’ and team members pics and bios. All the US team is from the hosting hotel: Kaushik Chowdhury (Captain) is the Executive Pastry Chef, Melynda Hale (Gilmore) is the Pastry Supervisor, and Keith Taylor is the Assistant Pastry Chef. Go US! (Please fill in the country you are cheering for… 🙂    )

The event will also have forum classes, with speakers such as Shirley Corriher, En Ming Hsu, Donald Wressell, Nicholas Lodge, and many more. For those who can make it and would like to actually be A PART OF the show, volunteer! Volunteering spots are still available although specific spots have already been filled. General helpers are still needed though and applications can requested.
